I exchanged pleasantries with the representative and he asked me a few questions making sure that I understood the terms and conditions of rental, especially mileage and fuel policies. I nodded in affirmation as I collected the keys and headed straight for adventure.
My heart sank the moment I started the engine. And when I started driving, everything around me felt like slow motion, almost as if I was in a movie. At first, there were not many people around, but when I drove further into town, I could literally feel people gazing at me with intensity.
Every detail of the experience is deeply engraved in my head. Whenever I parked somewhere, people would want to take pictures of the car, while everyone else gave me thumbs up. Eventually and unfortunately, the day came to an end and so did my rental contract.
Final Thoughts
